Flume - Skin

Finally, Flumes new album is out! I have been waiting for this ever since I heard that he was realising a new album and have been waiting for some new music from him as well for a long time. He is my favourite artist for sure, his music is so different but so good. About three days before he dropped the album he started posting previews of every song and wrote a little story about the song and it was super cool and interesting to get to read and know how this song came to be or what his idea was behind it. He also has some really good artist which feature on a couple of his songs, two of my favourite rappers Vic Mensa and Vince Staples. "Lose it" and "Smoke & Retribution" go listen to them if you have not already. 

So only three more days of school left and then it is over, finally. I am so excited right now because on Friday I am leaving for Los Angeles for two whole weeks. It is going to be so much fun to get to see everyone over there and be back to my second home. Stripes

Good morning everybody!

It is finally Friday, which also marks three weeks until school ends and then I am off to Los Angeles. I am going to stay there for two weeks, visiting my host-family and all my friends. I am super excited to get to get see everyone again and get to surf. I have not surfed proper waves for almost a year now so hopefully we will get some good swells while I´m there.

This week has been really fun. On Tuesday we went to Helsinki to take some photos for Emmas blog, which you can find here. Then we had dinner with my sisters at Tori on Wednesday, they have one of the best burgers in Helsinki so if you are ever in town go and try it out. After our dinner I went over to my friends house and watched Finlands ice hockey game against Hungary, which they won. And yesterday we made a lovely garlic chili shrimp pasta with Emma which was so good. Such fun times. 

Here are a couple pictures that Emma took of me while we were in Helsinki on Tuesday. Here you can see me wearing my new favourite shirt, which I got from H&M. One thing you should know is that I love striped shirts and what is different with this shirt is that it is wider on the shoulders than usual which gives it a very chill feel to it, this will definitely be my summer shirt.

Summer sixteen

 Hello!

Summer is finally here, wehoo! It has been sunny and around 15 degrees all week, so basically summer. I took the boat out for the first time this year. We went on a little cruise with my girlfriend, the weather was perfect. No wind, pretty warm and sunny. It is something I have really been longing for. After our cruise we went out for dinner with my parents and Emma. It was the first time eating outside on the terrace, which was very nice. Feels exactly like summer.

Here you can see some pictures from today, our first time playing soccer this year. Super fun! I tried getting pretty up close with the action, which turned out pretty good I think. I still want to get even closer and capture more action, which I will hopefully get soon!

Grabbarna Flytt

Here is the video that I helped Grabbarna Flytt with, which I wrote about a while back. It was from their trip from Sweden down to Monaco, when they helped Janni Delér move her stuff down there when she was moving. It was really fun to help them with the project. Hi everybody, hope you are well!

First of all the backgrounds. They both have a calming effect on me and the colors are also very soothing and easy on the eye. I also really like her outfits and looks which makes it all come together so nicely.

BIRTHDAY

Today is a special day, it´s my BIRTHDAY! I am turning 19 years old. It is so nice to be home because last birthday I was in Nashville, it was a really fun birthday don´t get me wrong but it is always nice being with your family and friends on your birthday. 

My girlfriend took me out for breakfast this morning, we had such a lovely time no better way to start my birthday. We went to The Cock in Helsinki, such a nice place. Good food and a good atmosphere I do recommend to go check it out if you have the chance. We both had the Grilled flat bread with ricotta, egg, cheese and kale spinach and of course a coffee. It was so delicious. After our breakfast I had to go and write a test, which went really good or at least I think so. Now I am sitting at home trying to study for my next test with is tomorrow and then I have one more and it is over.

A small update

So I am back again with a new video, I have not made one in so long. This is just a small update video to let you guys know what I have been up to and what I have planned for the near future. I will start uploading weekly whether it is a vlog or about something I picked up lately.

OVERALLS

I finally did it! I purchased a pair of denim overalls. I had been wanting to get a pair for a really long time but could not find a pair anywhere and if there was any they were for women. I stumbled upon mine on the hypebeast WhatDropsNow app, where you can find really cool stuff I do recommend. 

I got a pair of ASOS denim overalls with panel and rips in light wash. They have rose gold adjustable straps instead of the usual hinges, which I prefer more. They are a little bit big but I wanted them that way too because if they are too tight they will feel to uncomfortable. But all in all very happy with my purchase and can´t wait to wear them more often.

Into the woods

Yesterday I decided to drive up to Noux nationalpark to go and explore some new places. I have been wanting to go there for a while now but haven´t really gotten around to do it. First I wanted to get some photos of the sunset because the weather was really nice but when I got there the sun went behind the clouds so I had to find something else. 

I bought an ND-filter a while back but had not gotten to use it so much. While walking around I found this small river where I got to finally try out to get these milky river shots. I am really happy how they turned out and will be taking a lot more of these in the future.  It makes the river feel more alive and I love the effect it makes to the water.

A lot of relaxing & chocolate

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter and got to eat a lot of chocolate and take it easy. I have been spending easter with my girlfriend, family & friends. We celebrated my friends birthday and my girlfriends sisters birthday last week and then took a small "roadtrip" with my girlfriend to Hanko this weekend and stayed there for one night. It was so relaxing we went out for dinner, which was delicious then we played some boardgames, went for a hike and just chilled. I feel relaxed and ready for this week.

I still have one week left of normal school and then our test week begins and after that we only have one period left and then school is over, so ready for summer. My birthday is also coming up soon which I am pretty stoked about.

Lazy Weekend

Hello!

Hope you have had an amazing weekend. I have been taking it super easy this weekend. On Friday we celebrated my friends 18th birthday, such a fun party. On saturday we stayed at home with my girlfriend, ate good food and just hung around such a relaxing day and today I have been working on a upcoming project with Grabbarna Flytt and been enjoying the weather outside with a short walk.

I am helping Grabbarna Flytt edit a small video that they shot during their last delivery, where they helped Janni Delér move her furniture down to Monaco, I am really stoked about this project and will let you guys know more when it is finished.

Long Exposure with ND-filter

   So I have finally invested in a ND-filter. I bought a Hoya variable ND-filter which ranges from 3-400 stops so I do not have to buy a couple different once, even tough it might not be as good of a filter as a specific stop but very handy. I have been wanting to get one for so long but haven´t had a good lens for it but decided to get one that fits my sigma 18-33 and then use a step-up ring for it to fit my fisheye because the range is wider on my Sigma than my fisheye.

   I drove out to porkkala yesterday after school to try to get some long exposures of the ocean because the ocean is not frozen over there so I got a lot more movement than from around here. I still have a lot to learn about taking long exposures with my ND-filter but hopefully I will start getting those dreamy long exposure photos.

Street Portraits

Hello!

 
   The weather these last couple of days has been incredible, a couple degrees minus, sunshine and the snow has finally started to melt of the streets. I took advantage of the weather and went out to take some photos because why waste such a beautiful day just sitting at home. Yesterday I went out with my sister Jenny to take some photos for her blog, afterwards I picked up my friend Alec to take some photos of him for his soundcloud and today I went with my girlfriend Emma to also take some photos of her for her blog (You can find a link to their pages on the bottom of this post).

   I have really gotten into photographing people lately so it was really nice getting to photograph people close to me, I think it is easier because I kind of know what they like and what kind of photos they are also looking for. It is something I definitely want to start doing more of. I really like how the pictures turned out, it was super fun and the weather was a big bonus.
 
   I will be photographing more people and portraits in the future and I am working on a little bit bigger project right now which I am super excited about, which I will tell you guys about soon.

Livigno, Italy

So today is the last day of our winter brake. We have been up in Livigno, Italy with my father skiing for the past week. The weather has been amazing the whole week. Bluebird, full sun and a breathtaking view every single day. I have not been in the alps for such a long time and it feels so good to be back, my overall favourite place to ski. 

My really good friend Oliver also came with his family so I got to ski with him the whole week which was awesome. Usually the slopes are packed this time of year in the alps but not here which was awesome, we got to lap the park every single day the whole week without having to wait in line or watch out for small kids in the park. 

I got a lot of amazing pictures during my stay in Italy. I will be posting my favourites with this post but the rest I will probably post on my instagram ( If you want to see more of the pictures I got, leave a comment below and I will post more of them ). You can also find a couple of clips of me skiing the park from this week on my instagram. 

All in all I had a really good winter brake and can not wait to get back to the alps!

A little bit about myself

Hi,

My name is Jesper Jungell, I am 18 years old and I live in Finland. I love traveling, trying new things and being outdoors.
Why I started this blog is because I had an awesome idea a while back that I would start vlogging. I made a coupe of videos ( which you can see on my youtube ) and it was super fun, don`t get me wrong but it was a lot of work to make a video and when I started I wanted everyone of my videos to be about me doing something special or travelling and so on. But after a while it kind of started just being the same, me going out with my friends, taking photos, eating and it was not what I wanted to do with them. I will be making videos of course but not as frequently as I had planned.
So on thing blog I will be posting photos I have taken, about my travels and also about clothing here and there. I hope you enjoy and see you around!
